Is direct pay primary care, such as The Practice, a form of health insurance?
No. Direct pay primary care, also known as pre-paid or concierge medicine, is not a form of health insurance. The practice is a type of membership medical care that keeps patients closely connected with their physicians and can lower healthcare costs year after year.
If I become a member, are there co-payments for each office visit?
No. Members have unlimited access to our physicians, and there no extra fees for office visits.
What if I need labs or x-rays?
There are three membership plans at The Practice. Each plan includes various services, such as labs and x-rays, in the monthly fee.
What if I need prescription medication?
Do I need to sign a contract?
When you first become a member of The Practice, you agree to a minimum 12-month contract with us that locks in your membership rates. Membership fees are paid on a month-to-month billing cycle. It’s easy.
Can I cancel my membership?
Of course, we would hate to see you leave The Practice and all of the benefits of being a member, but we understand that sometimes situations change.
Is hospitalization covered?
No. Hospitalizations and hospital bills are not covered under memberships at The Practice.
Are there exclusions for pre-existing conditions that prevent me from becoming a member?
No. We do not exclude members due to pre-existing conditions.
Can I enroll my children as members?
Yes. We are more than happy to care for children and teenagers.
Does The Practice treat pregnancy?
If you are pregnant, congratulations! We are happy for the new life growing within you. We believe your pregnancy deserves being monitored by a specialist.
What if I need to go to the emergency room?
If you face a life-threatening situation, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, etc., call 9-1-1.
Membership in The Practice only covers our physicians’ services in our office, during normal office hours and does not cover emergency room visits. However, some urgent care services are included in our plans. SEE PLANS
Do you offer business dicsounts and family rates?
Yes. All of the memberships must be under one billing account. Call the office for a quote at 661-871-3300.
